Wow, August catches you off guard, right? One day it’s the dead of summer; the next, kids are shouldering backpacks and heading off to school 🤯. At C1, August marks the end of the second quarter—and the halfway point of our business year—which can also be disorienting. We pack so much product development into each quarter, it’s surprising (and exciting!) to realize the second half of the year is still ahead of us.
We’re not great at putting on the breaks, but it’s useful to pause briefly each quarter to get a snapshot of how our platform has evolved. So here’s a quick roundup of the product releases we announced over the last few months. (Spoiler—we’ve been busy.)
🙅 Access conflicts. Define, monitor, and get automatically notified via email or Slack about cross-environment access conflicts that violate your separation of duties (SoD) policies.
🔄 C1 in C1. Access control for your access controls! Monitor, review, and request fine-grained entitlements for the C1 app—within the C1 app.
🎫 Helpdesk provisioning. Process access requests and approvals through C1 but provision access via your helpdesk or ITSM tool—C1 can automatically trigger and track helpdesk provisioning tickets once access is approved.
✨ Access Copilot helpdesk automation. Accept access requests through your helpdesk and use C1’s AI-powered Access Copilot to automate approval and provisioning workflows on the backend.
👫 C1 groups. Create custom groups that dynamically adjust membership based on specified rules regarding existing access and user attributes. Use these dynamic groups to manage who can access to a catalog, to assign reviews in a policy step, and more—without having to touch your IdP or bother IT.
🪵 Export system logs. Automatically export C1 system logs containing a record of every action taken by the C1 API to an S3 bucket.
🍱 Bundles. Allow users to request all resources and entitlements in a request catalog as a bundle—for faster onboarding and getting employees quick access to interrelated entitlements.
🪝 Extended support for webhooks. Configure webhooks to trigger access control workflows across your environment.
🪜 Multistep provisioning. Add multiple steps to access provisioning workflows, including “wait steps” that put provisioning on hold until a particular event or criteria is fulfilled.
