C1 Launches Integration with Claude's Compliance API to Govern AI Identity and Activity in a Single Platform

New integration extends C1's identity governance to Claude Enterprise and the Claude Platform, giving security teams continuous visibility into who can access Claude and what they do with it.

SAN FRANCISCO — June 12, 2026. C1, the AI-native identity platform, today announced its integration with Anthropic's Claude Compliance API. The integration brings activity event data from Claude Enterprise and the Claude Platform into C1, where it sits alongside identity records and feeds the same access reviews, lifecycle workflows, and audit trails that govern the rest of the enterprise.

Companies are no longer evaluating Claude. They are running it across teams and workflows at a scale that would have seemed ambitious twelve months ago. That shift has outpaced the governance model built for traditional SaaS. Identity providers can provision a seat. They cannot tell a security team whether the user has touched it in thirty days, what their API key has been doing, or whether access granted for a finished project is still open.

"Our customers are deploying Claude at a pace we have not seen with any other enterprise platform, and they need governance that can keep up," said Chuck Fontana, VP of Partnerships and Business Development at C1. "By integrating with Anthropic's Compliance API, we give joint customers a single place to govern both access and activity inside Claude. That is what makes adopting AI defensible at scale."

A governance model built for AI#

C1 already governs access to Claude Enterprise and the Claude Platform through joiner-mover-leaver workflows, developer API key governance, and group memberships synced to the identity provider. The Compliance API integration adds the activity layer on top of the identity layer. One platform, both signals, the same audit trail.

Most identity governance was designed for a SaaS stack where activity meant a record in a database. AI platforms generate activity in the form of conversations, API calls, and agent actions. The Claude Compliance API integration extends C1's governance model to cover both human users and AI agents inside Claude, with the same lifecycle automation, access review, and audit evidence customers already run across the rest of their stack.

Visibility from access to activity#

With the new integration, security and IT teams can:

  • Run access reviews informed by actual usage, surfacing which Claude Enterprise users have been active in the last thirty days and which have not.
  • Tie Claude Platform API activity back to the person behind the key, including role and broader access scope.
  • Produce a complete audit evidence trail covering the access request, the approval, and the activity record that followed, for both human users and AI agents.
  • Close access that outlasts its purpose, with automated lifecycle workflows that flag and remove dormant seats, orphaned API access, and unused admin permissions before they become a finding.

How the integration works#

Claude's Compliance API provides programmatic access to activity event data from Anthropic-hosted Claude deployments. C1 receives activity event logs covering user logins, admin actions, and configuration changes from both Claude Enterprise and the Claude Platform. That data lands in C1 alongside identity records.

Availability#

The integration is generally available today. Existing C1 customers can enable it in connector settings. Organizations new to C1 can request a demo at c1.ai/lp/request-demo.
