C1 Expands Executive Leadership, Appoints Erik Huckle as Vice President of Product

Seasoned AI product leader and agentic identity expert joins C1 to lead product strategy for the agentic enterprise

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — May 18, 2026C1, the identity platform for the agentic enterprise, today announced the appointment of Erik Huckle as Vice President of Product. Huckle brings deep expertise in AI, identity security, and enterprise product development from leadership roles at Palo Alto Networks and SailPoint. A Marine Corps veteran turned product leader, he co-wrote the agent identity security strategy at SailPoint and launched some of the first customer-facing AI agents in the identity industry. In this role, he will lead C1’s product vision and roadmap while driving C1’s mission to serve as the identity control plane for the agentic enterprise.

“Erik is an AI-native builder with deep identity and security experience,” said Alex Bovee, co-founder and CEO of C1. “Most product leaders are still learning AI, but Erik has built products that are defined by it. He will take C1’s product to the next level at the moment when agentic identity access management goes from emerging category to enterprise requirement.”

Huckle spent six years in the Marine Corps infantry before transitioning into technology. He went on to help build Amazon One from the ground up, coauthor the agent identity security strategy at SailPoint through its IPO, and lead product at Protect AI—an AI security startup acquired by Palo Alto Networks, where the product became one of Palo Alto’s fastest-growing products. Across those roles, he led teams spanning data science, ML platform, and AI security.

At C1, Huckle will bring that experience to the product challenges at the center of the agentic enterprise: governing AI agent identities with the same rigor applied to humans, scaling access controls as agent populations grow, and making identity governance the foundation of enterprise trust as they deploy AI across their operations.

“I was building with C1’s open source tooling before I joined the interview process, and the technology speaks for itself. We’re in the early innings of agent identity and security, and C1 is already there. The team and the technology are meeting the opportunity head on,” said Erik.

Huckle holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and an MBA in Business Analytics and Entrepreneurship from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business. Beyond his professional work, Huckle has served for eight years as an Executive Board Member for AdoptAClassroom.org, where he advised the rebuild of the organization’s technology stack to help crowdfund school supplies for teachers in underfunded communities—a cause rooted in watching his mother, a teacher, spend her own money to equip her classroom.

With Huckle’s appointment, C1 continues to assemble the leadership team building the identity platform for the agentic enterprise. For more information, visit c1.ai.
