Our founders come from identity. Alex Bovee and Paul Querna met while building Zero Trust products at Okta, so they understand this space deeply. Having helped build foundational identity solutions for the human era, they saw an opportunity to bridge the gap between modern workflows and on-premise technology so companies could move faster.
Our founders started C1 for the agentic era. One where identity and access happen at machine speed, and with hybrid workforces of humans and agents.

Our vision is to make the governed path the fastest path to AI adoption. We’re building the control plane for the agentic enterprise, giving organizations one platform to govern every human, non-human, and AI agent identity. Today, we’re helping some of the world’s largest enterprises secure identity, automate access, and scale AI adoption by providing the visibility and control needed to innovate with confidence.
